Dear Friend,
As discussed in '3 Steps to Freedom', (download here) we've learned that in business, to become really 'free' you need to work for residual income.
However, we now need to ask ourselves;
'What is 'true' residual income?'
and 'Where can you find it?'
|
| Well, you're a lot closer to finding the answers than you realise... and we'll come to that in just a moment...
But firstly, we'd just like to tell you a bit about ourselves...
The skilled worker...
Hi, I'm Les, and as I mentioned before, I was a skilled fitter in the mining industry for 25 years. Now, it might not sound like the correct grounding for business but I long had a desire to make something better of myself and for my family.
I'll be honest and tell you, it hasn't been easy - I've worked in sales now for a number of years and been building a business with my son in my spare time, and I can tell you I'm very close to being able to say 'goodbye' to the full time sales job.
But right from the start, we had a long-term vision for the business, and that's really important. There's no point starting a business, giving it just 12 months and giving up. You can't expect a massive return in such a short space of time - there's a 'learning curve' to go through and it takes time to build a business.
We are now just starting to see the fruits of our labour, through residual income, from something we started a few years ago - and that's what it's all about... laying the foundations and constantly building, brick by brick, just like you would start to build a house.
And the feeling you get when you start to see results - it's priceless!
The university graduate...
Hi, I'm Darren, and after university I had various office jobs before continuing accountancy studies with a large corporation. I became disillusioned with it all after a while though and took a year out to travel. And that changed my whole perspective on the work-life balance.
I knew there had to be a better way. So, while carrying on working a full-time job I started a business franchise with my dad! As he's mentioned, we had a long-term plan and I'm pleased to say it's coming to fruition.
I'm more or less at the point now where I can work the business full-time and spend a few months, here & there, travelling abroad & teaching English. It gives me a chance to learn about different cultures and languages, which I absolutely love!
I've actually just come back from a 2 month voluntary placement in Thailand (see photo)! Please note this is something I would not be able to do if I was restricted to permanent employment!
Working you're own business, when it includes residual income, can seriously give you this type of freedom. And the fact that I'm able to plan a similar project for next year... well, let's just say motivation is not a problem!
Anyway, that's enough about us!
Let's change the focus back to you...
... and what you want out of life.
It all comes back to the question of achieving your dreams and the 'desire' you have to make them happen, the 'fire in your belly'.
We've put quite a lot of time into thinking about our dreams, planning our goals and ticking them off one by one.
A recent example of this is my voluntary work in Thailand. But if I hadn't thought about that dream, turned it into a goal by writing it down, planned the detail, set a deadline and really had a desire to do it, I probably wouldn't have achieved it.
Now, we don't want to go into too much detail about this (there are lots of books and courses to help with goal setting) but: We'd like to make the following suggestion:
If you've read through '3 Steps to Freedom', but merely brushed over the topic of 'desire', please go back to it and spend some time thinking about what you really want out of life, even if it's just for 20 minutes.
If you've already done this, congratulations! If not, please do that now.
The reasons we're asking you to do this are; a) it's an action in itself, and b) once you've done it, you can start to work from a different frame of mind: One that asks 'How can I achieve those dreams?'
It's amazing how powerful this is.
An old Chinese proverb...
...says: 'when the student is ready, the teacher appears.'
You see, once you're in this frame of mind, you start to want it even more!
You put in motion a series of thoughts and questions that were not there before, thoughts and questions that will now want answers!
As a result, you'll be more open minded to learning new things and you will actively seek out the information that you need in order to achieve those dreams!
Try it. This is what we've done - constantly learning as we go along in business, and in life in general. We've asked the questions, searched for the information we need, found the information, then we've acted on it!
And that's what you can do too...
So, back to the original question...
As promised... we'll soon be revealing the answer to...
What is 'true' residual income?
Now, this is crucial to your understanding of the concept of residual income. ... for without an understanding of what 'true' residual income is, then you're missing the whole point.
As it's so important, we thought it worthy of creating a second, follow-up, report to bring it all together for you. And here it is...
A follow-up report that we should actually be charging for, and we might do in the future, but as things stand with the economy and so forth... we're giving it to you...
Remember, if you have the desire... you'll seek out the information you need, and believe us when we say 'you need this'!
So, pick up your copy now for free... while you still can:
It will make ALL the difference.
Aiming Higher, Darren & Les Shaw
